چکیده
This paper presents new models for segmentation of 2D and 3D Scanning-Transmission Electron Microscope images based on the ordered median function. The main advantage using this function is its good adaptability to different types be studied due wide range weight vectors that can cast. Classical stand out their ability provide a original image very quickly with low computational burden. However, they do not usually achieve high quality segmentations small number clusters in order classify elements which compose structure represented image. provided by our approach analysed choices vector some real instances. Moreover, improvements are proposed formulations reduce time needed solve these problems taking structure.

Segmentation of scanning electron microscopy images from natural rubber samples with gold nanoparticles using starlet wavelets
Electronic microscopy has been used for morphology evaluation of different materials structures. However, microscopy results may be affected by several factors. Image processing methods can be used to correct and improve the quality of these results. In this article, we propose an algorithm based on starlets to perform the segmentation of scanning electron microscopy images. An application is p...
متن کاملScanning transmission low-energy electron microscopy
We discuss an extension to the transmission mode of the cathode-lens-equipped scanning electron microscope, enabling operation down to the lowest energies of electrons. Penetration of electrons through free-standing ultrathin films is examined along the full energy scale, and the contribution of the secondary electrons (SEs), released near the bottom surface of the sample, is shown, enhancing t...
